Memorial Day

Columbia will once again participate in the City of Falls Church’s annual Memorial Day Festival. This event, which is located three blocks from the church, is a great opportunity for the broader Falls Church community to learn about Columbia and its ministries. As in prior years, Columbia will offer face painting, balloons and bottled water at no charge.
Volunteers are needed for the following activities:

Set-up: (7-9 a.m.) – load trucks at church, unload and set up at
park.

Tear down: (5-6 p.m.)– reload trucks at park, unload and put things away at church.

Greeters: pass out water bottles and greet people with the warm Columbia welcome.

Children’s Activities: assist with face painting and handing out balloons.
Look for the volunteer sign-up poster near the Information Center.
